Research Background

Joanne Frankel Kelvin is a Fertility Nurse Specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she established the Cancer and Fertility Program to ensure patients are informed about options for fertility preservation before cancer treatment and for building a family after treatment. Her responsibilities include education and counseling of patients, development of resources for patients and clinicians, education of staff, and facilitation of clinical research within MSK related to reproductive health of cancer survivors. Joanne is on the board of the Alliance for Fertility Preservation, and she has numerous publications and presentations in the area of cancer and fertility. In 2014 she was honored by the Oncology Nursing Society for her work in this area with the Clinical Lectureship Award.
