I work in a large cancer clinic, and am very fortunate to have access to multiple resources for my patients. We have a group of social workers in our practice and I am able to set up appointments for my patients quickly. Our social workers are very knowledgeable about sexual health changes following cancer treatments and are able to provide information and recommendations for our patients. We have a palliative care department as well, composed of medical professionals who are able to provide counseling. In addition, both of these departments have access to a variety of outside resources, including centers which offer different types of group counseling sessions for cancer survivors.
